Directing bodies in space is an exciting adventure in kinetic translation: lithe mass in lyrical motion inspires changing scale in sculpture, overlapping planes and sinuous lines in the rhythmic choreography of metal.
The artist explores the extent to which images come from that elusive, shifting thing we call reality and the extent to which we apply imagination, invention, dreaming, storytelling, and improvising.
Elizabeth Wade began painting at the age of seventeen. Her undergraduate work was in set design for the performing arts, an effort to combine her early affection for theatre with her fledgling love for painting.

The Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) is an agency of the State of Maryland, under the authority of the Department of Business and Economic Development, Division of Tourism, Film and the Arts. Since it was established in 1967, the purpose of the Council has been "to create a nurturing climate for the arts in the State" as stated in its founding legislation.
Since 1968, the District of Columbia Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH) has developed and promoted local artists, organizations, and activities.
